Notice of Conference for Solicitation of Informal Public Input
Take notice that the New Jersey Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy will hold an informal conference for the purpose of permitting interested persons to present their views regarding the regulation of massage and bodywork therapy in New Jersey . N.J.S.A. 45:11-53 et seq. sets forth the statutory authority for the licensure and regulation of massage and bodywork therapists. The Board has been developing regulations that will govern the licensure and practice of massage and bodywork therapists. Draft copies of these regulations are available from the Board; interwd of Massage and Bodywork Therapy, Post Office Box 45010, 124 Halsey Street, Newark, NJ 07101.
The conference will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. The conference will begin at 10:00 A.M. A court reporter will be present to record the proceedings. Requests to speak should be submitted in writing to George Hebert, Executive Director, New Jersey Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy, Post Office Box 45010, 124 Halsey Street, Newark, NJ 07101, no later than one week prior to the scheduled conference date. Specific presentation times will be assigned. Those who do not preregister to speak will be given an opportunity to do so only as time permits. Written comments are also encouraged and should be forwarded to the Board office no later than December 1, 2010.
