Notice of Determination on Pre-proposal to Distinguish Between the Practices of Professional Engineering and Land Surveying; Topographic Survey; and Engineering Measurements
Take notice that at its March 1, 2007 meeting, the State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (the "Board") granted the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers' petition for rulemaking, summarized in the notice of receipt of petition for rulemaking at 38 N.J.R. 5179(a). See also 39 N.J.R. 263(b) and 1323(a). Subsequently, the Board published a pre-proposal on November 19, 2007 at 39 N.J.R. 4918(a). The comment period for the pre-proposal closed on January 18, 2008. The Board received numerous substantive comments. After reviewing those comments, the Board determined that it would not move forward with the language of the pre-proposal. Rather, it will further analyze the comments received and further deliberate in an attempt to formulate appropriate regulations.
