Proposed Regulation – Licensed Public Movers and Warehousemen
NEWARK – The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs has proposed amendments to the rules regarding service forms used by licensed public movers and warehousemen. The proposed amendments allow licensed public movers and/or warehousemen to provide consumers with electronic versions of the forms that must be completed when providing moving or warehousing services. The proposed amendments require that a licensee provide a consumer with a printed copy of any document completed in an electronic format and ensure that consumers electronically sign certain forms. The proposed amendments include definitions for "storage" and "warehousemen."
The proposed regulation, and information on how to submit a comment by July 1, 2016, can be viewed here. Follow the Division of Consumer Affairs on
