Proposed Regulation – Board of Nursing

NEWARK – The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs has proposed to readopt with amendments regulations for the Board of Nursing.

The regulations at N.J.A.C. 13:37 provide for the licensing and regulation of registered professional nurses, licensed practical nurses, advanced practice nurses, forensic nurses-certified sexual assault, and homemaker-home health aides.  These regulations are scheduled to expire on June 13, 2018. The Board proposes to readopt the regulations.  The Board also proposes amendments to the regulations to delete provisions with timeframes that have lapsed and to permit nurses to complete continuing education courses approved by, or offered by entities accredited by, the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

The proposed readoption with amendments, and information on how to submit a comment by November 4, 2017, can be viewed here.
