Please be advised, the Board is working on an online version of the Acupuncture Safety and Jurisprudence Exam to be available by the end of August 2020.
To qualify, you must still meet the same requirements as before:
In order be approved to sit for the examination, all applications must be submitted, reviewed and approved by the Board first before you can take the exam. No Exceptions. Once your application is approved, you will receive an online code that will allow you to sit for the exam online. You will not be able to take the exam until you have been sent your approval code. Any exam taken prior to an approval code will not be accepted.
The examination consists of forty (40) multiple choice questions which focus on acupuncture safety issues such as: contraindications to acupuncture treatment, needling safety, “Universal Precautions,” sterilization, and infection control. The remaining questions are related to the laws and regulations governing acupuncture practice in the State of New Jersey.

Please note, it is not the date your application is submitted it is only once it is reviewed and approved by the Board. Only a completed application meeting all requirements for licensure will be submitted to the Board for review. Only an approved application will be able to sit for the exam.
