BOARD ALERTS
Pursuant to P.L. 2021, c. 335, all health care boards are prohibited from issuing or renewing a license without first determining that no information exists on file in the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) which may disqualify the applicant from being licensed or otherwise authorized to practice as a health care professional. Currently, no action is required by the applicant or licensee. The Board or Committee must query the NPDB during your application process. This action may take several days to complete after all other requirements for licensure are fulfilled.

RN and LPN Licensure
Complete if you
do not have a valid NJ Nursing license.
The previously used "Examination" and "Endorsement" applications have been combined into one "Candidate" application. Apply by "Candidate" if you are seeking a NJ license as an RN or LPN, and you've never been licensed before or you're licensed in another state. A multistate Compact license will be issued if you meet the requirements. A single state NJ license may be issued if you do not meet the requirements for a Compact license.
