NJ Prescription Monitoring Program

Pharmacy Reporting Requirements

Pharmacies are required to report information to the NJPMP on a daily basis via the PMP Clearinghouse, using the ASAP 4.2 format. Prescriptions must be reported to the database no more than one (1) business day after the date the prescription was dispensed.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 45:1-45 et. seq., and N.J.A.C. 13:45A-35.3, pharmacies that dispense Schedule II-V Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS), Human Growth Hormone (HGH), and gabapentin in New Jersey, or into New Jersey, are required to submit data on all transactions for such drugs to the New Jersey Prescription Monitoring Program (NJPMP).

Pharmacies must upload the required CDS, HGH, and gabapentin prescription data via the PMP Clearinghouse. For technical assistance with the NJPMP database, contact the Bamboo Health help desk at (844) 465-4767.
