NOTICE OF DISCONTINUATION OF TEMPORARY EMERGENCY RECIPROCITY LICENSURE PROGRAMS
SUPERSEDING ALL PRIOR NOTICES EFFECTIVE DATE: July 15, 2022
This notice is to advise that the Division of Consumer Affairs (the "Division") will be discontinuing the Temporary Emergency Reciprocity Licensure Program on August 1, 2022, for all classes of Group 2 health care practitioners, with the sole exception of respiratory care therapists. This board licenses and regulates psychologists in New Jersey.
The purpose of the Board is:
- To protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of New Jersey;
- To regulate the practice of psychology; and
- To ensure that licensed psychologists practice professionally and ethically.
The Board protects the public by:
- Ensuring that licensed psychologists meet the requirement set by law and regulations;
- Investigating those who may have violated statutes and regulations governing the practice of psychology; and
- Requiring those practicing psychology to meet the standards for licensure and renew their licenses annually.
