Phases and Timelines


 

Real Estate Appraiser Licensure/Certification by Endorsement  
Application Phases and Timeline

Phase I

Current Timeframe:
1 week

Phase I is the estimated time between receipt of a completed application (online or paper) review of all documentation, depositing of monies and forwarding of documentation for them to complete the criminal history background check.


Phase II
Current Timeframe:
2-4 weeks

Phase II is the estimated time from forwarding the documentation to the applicant to complete the criminal history background check and completion of same. This will depend on the time in which the applicant makes the appointment and gets it completed. Once they complete the background check it then takes the criminal history review unit approximately 1 to 2 weeks to forward the Board the results of the background check.


Phase III
Current Timeframe:
1-2 weeks

Phase III is estimated timeframe following receipt of the response from the criminal history background in which a final review of the application is completed and then the License/Certification is issued.






Real Estate Appraiser Licensure/Certification by Examination 
Application Phases and Timeline

Phase I

Current Timeframe:
1 week

Phase I is the estimated time between receipt of a completed application (online or paper) review of all documentation and forwarding of documentation for them to complete the criminal history background check.


Phase II
Current Timeframe:
2-4 weeks

Phase II is the estimated time from forwarding the documentation to the applicant to complete the criminal history background check and completion of same. This will depend on the time in which the applicant makes the appointment and gets it completed. Once they complete the background check it then takes the criminal history review unit approximately 1 to 2 weeks to forward the Board the results of the background check.


Phase III
Current Timeframe:
3-5 weeks
(dependent on time of the month of completion of Phase II and when the monthly board meeting takes place.)

Phase III is estimated timeframe following Phase II in which once criminal history background check is completed the applicant is immediately requested to submit sample appraisal reports for review by the Board at the monthly board meeting. Time can vary vastly depending on time of month background check is received and when the next board meeting is scheduled which is always the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Upon approval of the application, an approval letter and card is forwarded to the licensee within 1 week to schedule and successfully complete the National Examination. Approval is valid for 2 years.

Phase IV
Current Timeframe:
1-2 weeks

Phase IV is estimated timeframe following receipt of the Pass Notice and Licensing Fees in which once fees are paid and final review of the application is completed then the License/Certification is issued.







Real Estate Appraiser Trainee Permit 
Application Phases and Timeline

Phase I

Current Timeframe:
1 week

Phase I is the estimated timeframe between receipt of a completed application (online or paper) review of all documentation, depositing of monies and forwarding of documentation for them to complete the criminal history background check.


Phase II
Current Timeframe:
2-4 weeks

Phase II is the estimated timeframe from forwarding the documentation to the applicant to complete the criminal history background check and completion of same. This will depend on the time in which the applicant makes the appointment and gets it completed. Once they complete the background check it then takes the criminal history review unit approximately 1 to 2 weeks to forward the Board the results of the background check.


Phase III
Current Timeframe:
1-2 weeks

Phase III is estimated timeframe following receipt of the response from the criminal history background in which a final review of the application is completed and then the Trainee Permit is issued.






Real Estate Appraiser Temporary Practice Permit 
Application Phases and Timeline

Phase I

Current Timeframe:
2-5 days

Phase I is the estimated time between receipt of a completed application (online or paper) review of all documentation, depositing of monies, verification of Licensure/Certification in other State in which then the Temporary Practice Permit is drafted and then issued.
