Proposed Regulation – Hearing Aid Dispensers Examining Committee

NEWARK – The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs has proposed amendments to continuing education requirements for licensed hearing aid dispensers.

The proposal permits licensed hearing aid dispensers to complete up to 10 of the required 20 credits of continuing education through courses provided online. The proposal also provides the correct name for the national entity that approves continuing education hours and removes the Hearing Aid Dispensers Examining Committee from the approval process for continuing education courses.

The proposed regulation, and information on how to submit a comment by November 5, 2016, can be viewed here.
