Proposed Regulation – Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee

NEWARK – The Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee has proposed new rules regarding licensed audiologists and speech-language pathologists using telecommunications to provide health care services.

The proposal effectuates P.L. 2017, c. 117 which authorizes health care providers to use telemedicine or telehealth to provide health care services.  The proposed new rules effectuate the statute and set forth Committee standards for the use of telemedicine or telehealth to protect the health, safety, and welfare of patients.

The proposed amendments, and information on how to submit a comment by January 3, 2020, can be viewed here.
