Alert Consistent with the requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-9, the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors will convene in-person only on December 5, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., in the Union Conference room, 3rd floor, 124 Halsey Street, Newark, New Jersey 07101. Please disregard the previous notice which advised the meeting would be held by Zoom only. Members of the public may attend the Board meeting in-person only.
The remaining meetings scheduled for 2024 will be conducted electronically only, as authorized by P.L. 2020, c 11 (N.J.S.A. 10:4-9.3). A copy of the agenda will be posted on the Board’s website. Formal action may be taken at the meeting. The public may obtain information about how to access the meeting (to include a link to the meeting) by accessing the Board’s website at:

Please note that as of Friday, February 4, 2022, the Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors Board will no longer be accepting paper applications for Engineers In Training or Professional Engineers.
Any paper applications received after Friday, February 4, 2022, will be returned to the applicant with instructions on how to apply. The on-line application is available on the Board's website at:

The New Jersey Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors no longer requires registration or approval prior to taking the FE and PE examinations. You must register online with
NCEES.
Once you have passed the exam please visit the NJ Board
website for licensure application instructions. |

If you have previously mailed your application to the Board and you are uncertain of its status or if you are a new applicant, please email a copy of your application and have your school send an electronic official transcript directly to the email address listed below on this home page.
Please specify in the body of your email that your application or other documents were mailed to the Board or Committee. You will receive information regarding the application and licensure fee upon review of your application.

The State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors regulates the practice, licensure and certification of engineers, land surveyors, engineers-in-training, land surveyors-in-training and companies offering professional engineering and land surveying services in the State of New Jersey in order to safeguard life, health and property, and promote the public welfare. The
Joint Committee of Architects and Engineers reviews complaints specific to the
Building Design Services Act. The
Home Inspector Advisory Committee, which is under the
State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, licenses home inspectors and regulates the home inspection profession.
