Proposed Regulation – Board of Dentistry

NEWARK – The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs has proposed amendments to the rules governing conditions under which a dental hygienist may engage in the practice of oral hygiene; expands the settings in which a dental hygienist may work under the general supervision of a licensed dentist; and prohibits certain activities by persons who are not licensed dentists.
