Proposed Regulation – Board of Psychological Examiners

NEWARK – The Board of Psychological Examiners has proposed amendments regarding professional experience requirements for licensure.

An applicant for licensure as a psychologist is required to complete two years of supervised professional experience, one of which must be completed after graduation.  P.L. 2020, c. 134 revised this requirement so that an applicant may complete the required two years of professional experience prior to receiving a doctoral degree. The proposed amendments effectuate P.L. 2020, c. 134.

The proposed amendments, and information on how to submit a comment by May 6, 2022, can be viewed here.
