​Public Comment Period Extended for Proposed Regulation – New Jersey State Board of Dentistry

NEWARK – The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs is extending the comment period for proposed new rules and amendments modifying the conditions under which the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry registers Limited Registered Dental Assistants in Orthodontics.

The Division is extending the comment period on the proposed rules and amendments, which appeared in the New Jersey Register on January 4, 2016, in order to ensure that adequate notice of, and opportunity to comment on the Division's intended rulemaking actions has been provided, consistent with the requirements of the Administrative Procedures Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14B-1 et seq.

The Board is proposing new rules that set forth the procedure that an applicant must follow to have his or her military education, training and experience evaluated for substantial equivalence and credit towards registration as a Limited Registered Dental Assistants in Orthodontics.
