Proposed Regulation – Board of Medical Examiners
NEWARK – The Board of Medical Examiners has proposed new rules regarding midwives using telecommunications to provide health care services. The proposal effectuates P.L. 2017, c. 117 which authorizes health care providers to use telemedicine or telehealth to provide health care services. The proposed new rules effectuate the statute and set forth Board standards for the use of telemedicine or telehealth to protect the health, safety, and welfare of patients.
