Proposed Regulation – Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
NEWARK – The Board of Physical Therapy Examiners has proposed new rules regarding licensed physical therapists and licensed physical therapist assistants using telecommunications to provide health care services. The proposal effectuates P.L. 2017, c. 117 which authorizes health care providers to use telemedicine or telehealth to provide health care services.
The proposed new rules effectuate the statute and set forth Board standards for the use of telemedicine or telehealth to protect the health, safety, and welfare of patients. The proposed amendments, and information on how to submit a comment by August 16, 2019, can be viewed here. ### |
