On January 8, 2024, Governor Murphy signed into law P.L. 2023, c. 237, which, among other things: amended the Contractors’ Business Registration Act (“CBRA,” formerly the “Contractors’ Registration Act”), N.J.S.A. 56:8-136 et seq., and created the “Home Improvement and Home Elevation Contractor Licensing Act,” N.J.S.A. 45:5AAA-1 et seq. Proposed Regulation – Board of Social Work Examiners

NEWARK – The Board of Social Work Examiners has proposed new rules regarding social workers using telecommunications to provide health care services. 

The proposal effectuates P.L. 2017, c. 117 which authorizes health care providers to use telemedicine or telehealth to provide health care services.  The proposed new rules effectuate the statute and set forth Board standards for the use of telemedicine or telehealth to protect the health, safety, and welfare of patients.
