Proposed Regulation – Elevator, Escalator, and Moving Walkway Mechanics Licensing Board

NEWARK – The Elevator, Escalator, and Moving Walkway Mechanics Licensing Board has proposed amendments to supervision requirements for unlicensed individuals providing elevator, escalator, and moving walkway services.

The proposed amendments clarify supervision requirements for specific devices. The proposal also requires a licensee to be on site when an unlicensed person performs testing associated with a Department of Community Affairs inspection on commercial property.

The proposed amendments, and information on how to submit a comment by October 4, 2019, can be viewed here.
