Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission

Amusement Games Certification of Permissibility

The first "condition" of each Certificate of Permissibility reads:

"The maximum price to play shall not exceed values set forth in N.J.A.C. 13:3-3.4."

Currently, the maximum price for participation is $20.00. An operator can not accept the charge to participate in more than one game[s] at a time. The price to play must be posted at the game. If the posted price to play the game is less than the denomination of currency given to the operator, the operator must remit the appropriate amount of changes to the player before the game begins.

This section contains the rules of play for those amusement games which have been authorized for play in New Jersey.

Operators

Operators are required to abide by these rules at all times when operating a game in New Jersey.

Players

Players should be aware of the rules of play in effect for any game they choose to play. A Certification of Permissibility may be obtained from the LGCCC and taken to the location where you intend to play the game so that you may refer to it while you are playing.

Anyone seeking any information concerning certified amusement games, please contact Joseph Chessere at ChessereJ@dca.njoag.gov or Michael Bianco at BiancoM@dca.njoag.gov.
