NJ Prescription Monitoring Program

NJPMP Integration

The New Jersey Prescription Monitoring Program is pleased to announce statewide funding to integrate PMP data and visualize insights using Bamboo Health’s PMP Gateway and NarxCare solution, enabling users to gain knowledge and save time.

The integration will eliminate the need for prescribers and pharmacists to navigate to the NJPMP website, log in, and enter their patient’s information. Instead, the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Pharmacy Management System (PMS) will automatically initiate a patient query, which will return the patient’s prescription records directly within the clinical workflow.

All prescribers and pharmacists MUST be registered with the NJPMP in order to receive patients' NJPMP reports via integration. It is important for all users to maintain an active and accessible account on the original NJPMP AWARxE platform as there may be situations in which EHR/PMS users will be unable to complete patient queries via PMP Gateway.

To get started today, please follow the steps listed below

  1. Visit the Customer Connect portal at: https://connect.BambooHealth.com/
    1. Click Create an Account in the top right-hand corner.
    2. Login and follow the on-screen prompts to provide the needed information for your integration request.
    3. Sign all necessary agreements within the portal and complete your application.

  2. Upon receipt of your completed application, Bamboo Health will submit your request to the state for final approval.

  3. Upon state approval, credentials will be sent to your organization’s primary contact and/or your EHR/PMS vendor, per their onboarding process.

  4. A confirmation email will be sent to your healthcare organization’s primary point of contact.

  5. Please review the New Jersey Integration Guide.

Disclaimer:
The NJPMP does not support Bamboo Health’s methodology and logic model governing the calculation of NarxCare scores (Narx Scores and Overdose Risk Scores) and, as such, does not provide these values within the online NJPMP portal available at https://newjersey.pmpaware.net. Healthcare professionals are encouraged to utilize their clinical expertise, not relative scoring systems, to influence their treatment decisions and provide optimal patient care.
